We are seeking a motivated and creative Learning & Development (L&D) Intern to join GXP's Customer Success team. You will work alongside subject matter experts and our in house agentic AI tools to support the development and enhancement of technical training curriculum and learning products used to train our software solutions.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Learning and Development processes by designing frameworks for training modules, creating content, and developing programs.
The internship is a paid internship and has a flexible 9/80 work schedule that includes every other Friday off. Internship requires full-time, in-person work in BAE Systems' Reston, VA office.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Assist with developing and updating learning materials, programs, and curriculum for a variety of audiences
- Support the redesign of learning products using modern delivery methods such as eLearning, blended learning and videos
- Help present technical information in clear, audience-appropriate formats
- Support uploading training materials into the learning management system (LMS) and assigning required courses
- Support other projects and responsibilities as requested
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Completed Junior year of college by Summer 2026.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Understanding of instructional design, data analysis, adult learning principles, and research.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Office (PowerPoint, Words, Excel).
- Familiarity with learning management systems, such as LearnDash, a plus.
- Experience with GIS or remote sensing software is highly beneficial.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $49592 - $68993
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
