The ideal candidate will be certified by the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) and possess extensive experience in managing aerial mapping, LiDAR, and GIS projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geospatial projects, including aerial surveys, LiDAR acquisition, orthophoto production, and GIS data creation.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., technicians, analysts, and field crews) and external stakeholders to ensure project scope, schedule, and deliverables are met.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Oversee quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) of geospatial deliverables.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, address questions, and ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Utilize project management tools to track milestones and performance.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues in a timely manner.
- Stay current with advancements in geospatial technologies and standards.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior staff and technicians.
Qualifications:
- ASPRS Certification required (e.g., Certified Photogrammetrist, Certified Mapping Scientist, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Geography, Surveying, Remote Sensing, GIS, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in geospatial project management.
- Strong knowledge of geospatial technologies, including photogrammetry, LiDAR processing, GIS, and GPS/RTK systems.
- Proficiency with geospatial software such as Pix4D, TerraScan, Spatix, ArcGIS, Global Mapper, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Experience with aerial data acquisition planning and post-processing workflows.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- PMP or other project management certifications a plus.
Work Environment & Additional Details:
- No travel required.
- In office or remote
