cFocus Software seeks a Geospatial Database Administrator to join our program supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This position is on-site in Springfield, VA. This position requires a Public Trust Clearance

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Geography or a related field.
- 10+ years of Geospatial Database Administration experience
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on all technical components to include security vulnerability, change and patch management, and emergency fixes.
- Perform system updates, routine maintenance, patches, and troubleshooting minimizing downtime to meet the Performance Metrics in Section 6 and keep the system compliant with DHS policies.
- Deployment support for all system modifications including upgrades or enhancements.
- Infrastructure and network services support to be performed in coordination with DHS IT Services Offices, OnetNet, DHS Data Centers, government and/or commercial cloud providers, and any other emerging government hosting environment as directed by government requirements.
- Provide programmatic and/or engineering support of geospatial software, data, hardware, and services licensing, information sharing and/or interconnectivity agreements.
- Ensure system scalability, reliability, and security throughout its lifecycle.
- Perform quality assurance for DHS geospatial systems, solutions, applications and related services including configuration management processes that provides for configuration identification, change control so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related system/software.
- Designs, implements, operates, maintains, and repairs DHS geospatial databases.
- Monitors geospatial database performance and capacity and implements measures to both improve efficiencies and security of the geospatial database.
- Configure hardware and software in coordination with other system, software, and security teams.
- Develops geospatial database structure to meet emerging mission requirements, enhance security posture, improve information handling and sharing, and maintains network interconnections between the database, system/application and other database and system/applications.
