About the Role:


Agerpoint is seeking a Geospatial Data Analyst Intern with a background in remote sensing to streamline processing and analysis for geospatial data products. You will be exposed to a wide range of projects and remote sensing data types, including point clouds, LiDAR, multispectral, and visual data. You will have the opportunity to learn new methods of geospatial processing and quality assurance techniques. Above all, your work product will positively impact Agerpoint's Agriculture and Nature client work while you will receive exposure to cutting-edge, Ai and Machine Learning techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Ingest and process numerous data types based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Assist in machine learning model training by providing feedback to machine learning/AI development teams on model performance
  • Categorize and analyze data quality issues
  • Organize and maintain data storage according to client account requirements and standards

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of educational and/or professional experience in Geospatial Information Science (GIS)
  • Experience in processing various remote sensing data types, including, but not limited to: point clouds, multispectral and visual data, alignment techniques, and vector data types
  • Familiarity with QGIS is preferred, but not required
  • Resourceful, self-starter who exhibits a strong ability to think critically, research and analyze, and develop solutions to processing or pipeline issues
  • Ability to remain flexible, handle multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritize accordingly to meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate and explain procedures and actions for both technical and high-level audiences
