Job Responsibilities:
Summary: The Human Resource Generalist will assist with all aspects of Human Resources administration, including employee relations matters, compensation and benefits, recruitment, staffing and plant communications.
Job Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned and required.
Administer payroll programs according to company policies and guidelines Work with production leadership to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained. Work with external agencies when needed. Conduct recruiting activities to support production requirements Ensure internal promotion process is followed according to company policies and completed in timely manner Maintain job descriptions and associate handbook to current levels Maintain high profile with all associates to build positive relationships, ensuring associate concerns are addressed in a timely manner. Provides a resource to floor associates and leadership team in employee relations issues. Follow and support MBCI's and Magna's operating principles Provide necessary support to Human Resources Manager and serves as backup in the manager's absence Assist in the maintenance of the human resources associate information databases Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Education and/or Experience
- Post secondary education in business, human resources or related field or equivalent experience.
- Three years experience in human resources field, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Able to work well with others; build and maintain positive employee relations
- Able to prepare, read and interpret written reports, business correspondence, instructions, procedures and guidelines
- Excellent oral and written communications and presentation skills with the ability to respond to questions from internal and external customers
- Excellent human relations skills
- Highly self motivated and flexible
- Capable of working under pressure and with short completion time on projects
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask
- Strong understanding of the human resources body of knowledge
- Computer experience

- Demands of a typical office position
- Flexible hours to meet customer/project demands
Environmental Conditions:
- Office environment with regular interactions with associates in a manufacturing environment
