We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our experienced team and help deliver next-generation voice assistant solutions for the Android Automotive OS (AAOS). You will work at the intersection of Android development, automotive systems, and voice-based applications to ensure that the product meets the highest quality, performance, and user experience standards.

CUSTOMER
Our Customer is a Canadian technology company that specializes in developing independent voice AI solutions for businesses. Its platform enables brands to create custom voice assistants that interact naturally with users through speech.
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases for the AAOS voice assistant app
- Validate voice interactions, audio pipelines, and integration with car hardware APIs
- Ensure app compliance with Android Automotive OS standards and OEM requirements
- Build and maintain test plans, regression suites, and smoke tests across different hardware targets (e.g. emulator, dev boards, in-vehicle systems)
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to define acceptance criteria and test coverage
- Investigate and report bugs, performance issues, and edge case failures with clear reproduction steps
- Support continuous integration pipelines by integrating automated tests and tracking quality metrics
- Participate in certification testing, field testing, and voice UX validation
- 4+ years of overall experience in software testing, including at least 2 years in testing of Android applications
- At least 1 year of experience with test automation (e.g., using Espresso, Appium, or similar frameworks)
- Strong experience in writing and maintaining test cases and test documentation
- Experience with bug reporting and task tracking using Jira
- Solid understanding of QA processes, testing types, and SDLC
- Upper-Intermediate level of English
WOULD BE A PLUS
- Experience with Android UI test automation
- Experience with automotive HMI testing
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Familiarity with API testing (Postman, REST Assured)
- Basic knowledge of version control systems (Git)
- Experience with AI-based or ML-integrated applications (e.g., testing AI-driven features, models, or integrations)
