Job Summary

Performs all general ledger functions for designated developments, following appropriate procedures to ensure timely and accurate preparation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains general ledger records according to company policies and procedures.
  • Prepares month-end financial reports for assigned developments to meet necessary deadlines.
  • Maintains all security deposits and savings accounts to insure development funding; reports any bank account problems to the General Ledger Supervisor.
  • Assists auditors with annual audit preparation for all developments assigned.
  • Assists in the preparation of annual budgets for all developments assigned by working closely with the Operation team, and Owners/Clients, as deemed necessary.
  • Prepare and complete replacement reserve requests within the required time frame.
  • Complete bank reconciliation and enter rental deposits in the system.
  • Performs routine clerical duties, in photocopying and filing in a timely manner.
  • Understanding of accounting & management software.

Qualifications

Position Requisites (Education and/or Experience and Skills)

·      Associates Degree, 3+ years accounting/general ledger experience

·      10-key by touch skills; computer knowledge using MS Word and Excel; knowledge of accounting systems

·      Strong math aptitude and ability to work accurately with numbers

·      Good organizational skills
