Project Managers at Coforma are responsible for managing a portfolio of projects and coordinating the teams assigned to those projects. Our Project Managers leverage their strong situational awareness skills to provide tactical and team leadership throughout the project life cycle. They oversee the development of critical project integration points with a broader foundation and associated deliverables. Project Managers assist in developing company processes, help guide their implementation, and drive organization-wide adoption while maintaining up-to-date guidelines. The ideal candidates for this role are comfortable navigating both organizational and project ambiguity.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
- Lead your project team and drive results related to contractual objectives
- Manage team members in collaboration with Account Directors
- Serve as the primary point of contact for and proactively build relationships with stakeholders and project partners
- Understand the team’s objectives, systems, and capabilities in order to make decisions about project priorities and help resolve issues
- Implement and manage project onboarding templates and processes, including educating team members on roles, responsibilities, and internal processes
- Execute day-to-day management and oversight of projects, including scope, schedule, cost/budget, risk, quality, and resources
- Build and develop the project team to enable optimal performance by providing purpose, direction, and motivation and creating holistic success for everyone involved
- Manage the team's velocity and continually improve processes for organizing and completing work
- Serve as a bridge between upper management, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams tasked with project execution
- Coordinate with partner teams to ensure alignment, build understanding, identify and resolve conflicts, and ensure successful outcomes
- Report risks, successes, progress, backlog, and failures to stakeholders in a timely, clear, and efficient manner
- Monitor time tracking for the team, ensuring all members are tracking time regularly and accurately
- Assist with contract coordination by verifying invoices, data checking modifications, tracking options exercised, funding, and roles allocated, providing deliverable reporting, evaluating compliance and risk efforts, etc.
- Be comfortable digging into account finances, including developing staffing models, writing SOWs, tracking burn rates, etc.
- Assist in enforcing planning and strategy deadlines throughout Coforma to ensure meetings and delivery occur on time, and supporting any other key internal deadlines
Who You Are
- While we're looking for applicants at the L3 (4+ years of experience) to Senior (8+ years of experience) levels, Project Managers at all career levels are welcome to apply
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, or Product Manager
- Experience in an agency setting managing small- to large-scale digital design and development projects
- Experience working with product, research and design, and engineering teams as a cohesive unit and maintaining open lines of communication in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Passion for learning, ability to create and adapt systems, and ability to collaborate with creative, technical, and business stakeholders and team members
- Experience using agile frameworks like Lean, Scrum, Kanban, and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Experience working cross-functionally with strategists, product designers, developers, communications, and other disciplines
- Experience managing milestones, dependencies, communications, and stakeholder expectations
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally (whether verbally or through assistive technologies/aids) to increase transparency
- Strong competency in situational awareness, situational leadership, and conflict mitigation and resolution
- Ability to nurture relationships to help drive prioritization across multiple projects and create ecosystems of success
- A proactive, empathetic, persistent, positive, and growth mindset
- Full-time resident of the contiguous United States (must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship)
- Applicants selected for this position may be subject to a government security clearance and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information related to the nature of some of our client's work
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) or SAFe® Scrum Master (SSM) certification
- 2+ years experience working on a remote team or remote freelancing
- Prior professional services, government, federal, or private consulting experience
- Experience writing or editing requirements for government proposals
