We are looking for a talented General Aftersales Manager to join our Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle team in Poole.

If you are a dynamic and motivated leader with strong motor trade experience, this is an exciting opportunity to manage all aspects of a busy aftersales department.

As a General Aftersales Manager, you’ll oversee our workshop, parts, and customer service operations, ensuring departmental objectives are achieved while delivering prompt, efficient, and high-quality service to customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out regular reviews of pricing policies, labour rates, discounts and parts pricing

  • Monitor workshop productivity and ensure the effective use of labour across the department

  • Examine management accounts and composite figures to support departmental performance

  • Ensure stocks and services purchased for resale are monitored and sold at a profit

  • Maintain stock levels, monitor parts inventory and anticipate future parts needs

  • Handle dissatisfied customers calmly, resolving complaints with sensitivity and involving others when needed

  • Ensure the aftersales department is adequately staffed to achieve objectives and provide a prompt, efficient customer service

  • Ensure staff maintain up-to-date knowledge, improve technical skills and achieve the overall departmental goal, hitting both brand and company standards

  • Operate within the law, ensuring health and safety legislation, internal procedures and environmental regulations are followed for overall site operation

What you will need to be a General Aftersales Manager at Van Mossel UK:

  • Main dealer experience or experience in a comparable motor trade aftersales management role

  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate and develop a high-performing team

  • A personable approach with a polite, courteous and customer-focused manner

  • Self-motivated, commercially aware and able to lead by example

  • Computer literate with strong communication skills

  • Able to work to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards

Hours of work will be 45 hours, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm
