We are looking for a talented General Aftersales Manager to join our Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle team in Poole.
If you are a dynamic and motivated leader with strong motor trade experience, this is an exciting opportunity to manage all aspects of a busy aftersales department.
As a General Aftersales Manager, you’ll oversee our workshop, parts, and customer service operations, ensuring departmental objectives are achieved while delivering prompt, efficient, and high-quality service to customers.

Your responsibilities will include:
Carry out regular reviews of pricing policies, labour rates, discounts and parts pricing
Monitor workshop productivity and ensure the effective use of labour across the department
Examine management accounts and composite figures to support departmental performance
Ensure stocks and services purchased for resale are monitored and sold at a profit
Maintain stock levels, monitor parts inventory and anticipate future parts needs
Handle dissatisfied customers calmly, resolving complaints with sensitivity and involving others when needed
Ensure the aftersales department is adequately staffed to achieve objectives and provide a prompt, efficient customer service
Ensure staff maintain up-to-date knowledge, improve technical skills and achieve the overall departmental goal, hitting both brand and company standards
Operate within the law, ensuring health and safety legislation, internal procedures and environmental regulations are followed for overall site operation
What you will need to be a General Aftersales Manager at Van Mossel UK:
Main dealer experience or experience in a comparable motor trade aftersales management role
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate and develop a high-performing team
A personable approach with a polite, courteous and customer-focused manner
Self-motivated, commercially aware and able to lead by example
Computer literate with strong communication skills
Able to work to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards
Hours of work will be 45 hours, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm
