About the Role
This role is part of the Finance Shared Service Center (SSC) and is responsible for end-to-end General Ledger (GL) activities. You will ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of period-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting, while continuously driving process improvements in a standardized and efficient shared service environment.
What You Will Do
- Handle daily activities related to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including accruals, provisions, allocations, reclassifications, intercompany reconciliations, and foreign currency revaluation.
- Prepare, review, and post general ledger journal entries in compliance with accounting standards and internal control requirements;
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, analyze variances, and ensure timely resolution of open items;
- Manage the full lifecycle of fixed asset accounting and ensure consistency between book and physical assets;
- Handle intercompany settlements, cash application, and related reconciliations;
- Support the preparation of financial statements, audit schedules, and management reports;
- Assist with internal and external audits, tax reviews, and compliance checks;
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, system upgrades, and SOP updates;
- Complete other ad-hoc or special accounting tasks as assigned.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field;
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, with hands-on GL/R2R experience in an SSC environment;
- Proficient in SAP systems;
- Advanced Excel skills (functions, pivot tables, data analysis);
- Good command of written & Spoken English for daily work communication;
- Strong attention to detail, sense of ownership, ability to work under pressure during closing periods, and good communication and teamwork skills.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Have experience in SSC or multinational company finance work.
- Have experience in process optimization or project management.
