Working Practices: Hybrid | Mondays and Thursday in office and remaining days remote

Contract Type: Permanent

Role Summary

As a GenAI Specialist (LXD) at Construct Education, you will champion AI-powered learning innovation by researching, implementing, and optimizing generative-AI solutions that enhance educational outcomes and drive operational efficiency. Utilizing advanced consulting expertise, you'll collaborate with clients throughout the sales and project lifecycle to thoroughly understand their pedagogical requirements and integrate evidence-based learning practices into AI system architectures and AI-enhanced course designs. You will lead the development of fit-for-purpose learning strategies—ensuring that every AI-driven solution embodies pedagogical excellence, aligns with client requirements, and delivers seamless, scalable learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities: 

Sales Support

  • Effectively contribute to pre-sales consultation with account executives and the AI Solution Architect to integrate evidence-based learning practices into AI solution architectures
  • Support the development of sales collateral for sales initiatives, including pedagogically-informed sales presentations, learning-centered application prototypes, and live demonstrations of AI-augmented educational experiences
  • Collaborate with account executives, AI Solution Architect, and bid writers to outline AI services and technical solutions that align with instructional design principles
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost-analysis, and estimation efforts for AI implementations from a learning design perspective
  • Provide learning design effort estimation for GenAI Services, Apps, and LX Technology opportunities
  • Translate complex learning requirements into technical specifications that guide AI solution development

Learning Strategy and Framework Development

  • Collaborate with client project leads to align on priorities, needs, and learning requirements pertaining to AI technologies and services
  • Lead the development of comprehensive Learning Strategy Frameworks that integrate proven instructional design methodologies within AI architectures
  • Collaborate with the AI Solution Architect and project managers to integrate GenAI learning strategies, tools, and processes into the Learning Strategy Framework and Project Master Plan
  • Define learning-centered AI application architecture parameters, including foundation model selection criteria based on pedagogical requirements, instructional prompting frameworks, and RAG system content strategies
  • Establish learning outcome measurement frameworks and success criteria for AI-augmented educational experiences

GenAI Research and Integration

  • Research, pilot, and recommend third-party GenAI platforms, tools, or custom models, ensuring technical compatibility with Construct Education’s infrastructure and adherence to data governance.
  • Design and implement AI learning design workflows that meet both performance targets and regulatory requirements.

Operational Efficiency & Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Functional Requirements & Tool Selection
    • Analyze project requirements to design optimal AI solutions for efficiency and revenue maximization.
    • Collaborate with project teams to map out specific tasks where AI can reduce manual effort, increase efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Data Collection & Visualization
    • Partner with the AI Solution Architect to collect relevant operational data and build structured data for visualization.
    • Utilize data-driven insights to identify suitable tools, optimize processes, and inform revenue-driving implementations.

Learning Design & AI Configuration

  • Advanced Prompt Engineering and Instructional Alignment
    • Craft, test, and refine prompts (system, user, conditional, chain-of-thought) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) strategies to optimize AI-powered technology.
  • Change Management and Adoption 
    • Identify key stakeholders, implement change management techniques (e.g., training sessions, documentation) to drive AI adoption among project teams and learning squads.
    • Serve as a liaison between learning designers, AI Solution Architect, and AI developers to ensure smooth implementation.

Technical Collaboration & Prototyping

  • GenAI Platform Proficiency
    • Demonstrate hands-on experience with one or more GenAI platforms or models (e.g., OpenAI GPT variants, Anthropic Claude, Microsoft’s Claude Studio, Pickaxe AI).
  • UI/UX & Wireframing
    • Use UX/UI tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) to create prototypes, wireframes, and flowcharts that visualize AI-powered features.
    • Provide clear design documentation to enable AI developers to build, test, and integrate components efficiently.
  • Basic Coding Literacy
    • Possess a foundational understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python to collaborate effectively with AI developers. 
  • Pedagogical Expertise & Accessibility
    • Learning Theory Integration
      • Apply core instructional design models (e.g., Backward Design, Socratic Tutoring, Mastery Learning, Cognitive Load Theory, Vygotsky’s Zone of Proximal Development) to shape AI-augmented learning experiences.
      • Leverage the Successive Approximation Model (SAM) for iterative design and development of AI-powered technology.

  • AI implementation efficiency gains (target: 30% reduction in manual processes)
  • Revenue generation from learning-centered AI solutions and successful educational POC conversions
Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: 3+ years in learning design or educational technology
  • AI Knowledge: Hands-on experience with GenAI platforms and prompt engineering
  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python
  • Design Tools: Experience with UX/UI design software
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with data visualization and analytics tools
  • Background in change management or training delivery
  • Knowledge of educational compliance and data governance
  • Background in educational research methodologies
