JOB SUMMARY
Glenview Community Ice Center is currently looking to hire part-time Front Desk Staff that has availability to work days, nights, weekends and special events. The Front Desk Staff is responsible for performing the following essential functions, but not limited to:
- Provide excellent front-line customer service to visitors and patrons
- Greet visitors and answer questions about organization, facilities and programs
- Answer phone calls and handle appropriately
- Open and close front desk and offices
- Register customers for programs, ice rentals, events and memberships; accept payments
- Balance daily cash drawer and prepare bank deposits
- Maintain clean front desk and up-to-date bulletin boards and information kiosks
- Document incidents and accidents
- Sort and distribute internal and external mail
- Assist with other administrative duties and special projects/events as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent desired. Some college is strongly preferred, but will consider related experience or training in lieu of formal education.
- At least two (2) years of relevant experience required.
- Excellent interpersonal and phone skills with a wide range of patrons is required.
- Strong language skills, ability to type at least 35 wpm and proofread/edit documents.
- Ability to multitask and handle various assignments.
- Knowledge of computers and software (Outlook, Word, Excel and Publisher).
- Ability to travel to facilities using personal automobile and work a varied schedule including some nights and weekends.
SCHEDULING & PAY
- This is a year-round part-time position; no seasonal applicants, please.
- Starting pay is $17.00/hour.
- Position may work approximately 6-15 hours/week. We are currently looking for staff that can during the day, at night, weekends and special events.
