The GCCS Tier 1 Systems Administrator will participate as a member of integrated government/contractor team of technical and functional experts in the conduct of Global Command and Command System – Joint (GCCS-J) administration; software application support, configuration management support, and IT support services supporting U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) GCCS services.
The GCCS Systems Administrator will be responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Windows Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications. Responsible for ensuring system availability and reliability of the Global Command and Control System - Joint (GCCS-J) and related GCCS Family of Systems (FoS) on the networks.
HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Ensure COP availability to customer
Maintain database instances (Oracle, Sybase, PostgreSQL)
Create, work, and solve service requests using Service Now trouble ticketing system
Maintain and troubleshoot GCCS COP Server issues where they arise
Maintain Red Hat JBoss application servers.
Maintain and troubleshoot Enterprise Linux OS issues where they arise
Troubleshoot Agile Client application issues where they arise.
Assist in Site Specific Support as needed
Maintain COOP Capability
Participate in COOP Tabletop Exercises (TTX), Functional failover Drills, and After-Action Reporting
Power up and Power Down Data center following proper procedures.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Qualifications
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required for DoD 8570 IATT level II compliance.
3+ year of experience in IT System Administration.
3+ year of experience in Windows Server Operating Systems and/or Linux Operating Systems.
Candidate must also be available for and willing to travel, including international deployment to austere environments up to 15% annually and for durations of up to one month at a time.
Must have an active/current TS/SCI clearance and a valid U.S. passport.

Strong knowledge of Linux Server Operating Systems.

Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) for user and groups.
Familiarity with Oracle/Sybase/Postgress database maintenance.
Familiarity with Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss).
Familiarity with Linux/UNIX applications and services (NFS, SSH, NTP, LDAP, HTTP, Ansible).

The likely salary range for this position is $76,565 - $100,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
