The ideal candidate is proactive, deeply engaged with the news, and skilled at spotting stories before they break. You are comfortable owning your ideas, moving quickly in a fast-paced environment, and collaborating with editors and colleagues to elevate your work.

You’ll cover breaking news, accountability reporting, and enterprise stories across Greater Boston and beyond. This role requires strong storytelling, source-building, and the ability to file quickly and accurately for digital and radio.

  • Collaborate with editors, producers, and other newsroom teams to shape coverage and elevate stories across broadcast and digital/social platforms.
  • Build and maintain sources within the communities you cover.

SKILLSET
  • Well versed across multiple beats, with a broad understanding of local politics, business, breaking news, and other key coverage areas. Experience covering education, particularly higher education, would be a significant plus
