The Industrialization Leader is accountable for the operational discipline required to maintain a controlled, repeatable, scalable, and execution-ready product environment.

The role focuses on four priorities: configuration management, product stewardship, continuous improvement, and cross-functional coordination. The position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, Program Management, and Product Management while retaining execution ownership within the accountable functions.

This role is designed for a strong cross-functional leader who can create structure, decision clarity, and accountability across a complex product environment while supporting product strategy and lifecycle objectives.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Prevent unnecessary proliferation of variants and ensure configuration decisions remain documented and traceable.
  • Support effective change management and configuration control processes.

Product Stewardship

  • Facilitate decision-making related to product changes, technical issues, quality concerns, serviceability, and operational readiness.
  • Escalate unresolved issues when needed and maintain clear accountability for actions and decisions.
  • Ensure alignment between product objectives and execution activities.

Product Sustainment & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain and prioritize the portfolio of product enhancement and sustainment initiatives.
  • Coordinate with functional teams to ensure timely execution and closure of approved initiatives.
  • Drive structured continuous improvement activities that enhance product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability.

Simplification & Standardization

  • Develop and coordinate initiatives that improve product efficiency, reduce complexity, and promote standardization.
  • Track progress, risks, dependencies, and realization of improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate collaboration across teams to remove barriers to implementation.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Create a unified view of priorities, actions, risks, and decisions across participating functions.
  • Ensure alignment between stakeholders and provide fact-based inputs to support leadership decision-making.
  • Promote clear ownership, communication, and execution discipline across the organization.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Understanding of configuration management, engineering change processes, product lifecycle support, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and drive accountability across multiple functions.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, facilitation, and decision-making skills.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with configuration control, product support processes, quality management practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Clear visibility and control of product configurations and variants.
  • Consistent and timely resolution of product-related decisions and issues.
  • Well-managed portfolio of sustainment and improvement initiatives with clear ownership and strong closure discipline.
