Game Development Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Game Development Project Manager to oversee the planning, schedule, execution, and delivery of game project development. 

This role blends game development, production management, feature delivery planning, and cross-team coordination, ensuring games are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with agreed game and business priorities set by the leads.

You will work closely with game designers, artists, engineers, and business stakeholders to turn ideas into playable, scalable, and commercially viable game experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Game Project Management

• Manage end-to-end game development lifecycle: pre-production, production, launch, and post-launch
  
• Define project scope, milestones, schedules, and deliverables based on direction and priorities agreed with the leads
  
• Track development progress, dependencies, risks, and blockers
  
• Ensure alignment across design, art, engineering (front end & backend), QA, publishing teams, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate build/deployment readiness (release checklist, QA sign-offs, release notes, and go/no-go coordination with Tech/QA leads)
  

Feature Planning & Game Roadmap

• Lead feature delivery planning in collaboration with game design and production leads
  
• Maintain game feature backlogs and roadmap based on agreed team priorities
  
• Translate design concepts into actionable development tasks
  
• Balance gameplay quality, technical constraints, timelines, and resources 

Monetization & Live Ops Planning

• Collaborate with stakeholders on game monetization feature planning and implementation
  
• Once the game is launched, support scheduling and coordination for live operations, updates, and content drops
  
• Ensure delivery plans reflect player engagement and monetization goals as agreed by stakeholders
  
• Track monetization-related features through development and release 

Revenue Planning & Forecasting

• Assist in revenue planning, forecasting, and performance tracking by providing timeline, scope, and delivery risk inputs
  
• Work with Game Director, Senior Economy Designer,  the team to align development schedules with revenue milestones
  
• Support budgeting and resource planning based on revenue targets
  
• Help evaluate ROI of features, content updates, and live events by providing effort estimates, delivery risks, and dependency inputs

Tools, Documentation & Process

• Set up and maintain game development workflows using Notion
  
• Own and organize documentation (GDDs, feature specs, sprint plans, release notes)
  
• Build dashboards to track progress, milestones, and delivery KPIs
  
• Continuously improve production pipelines and team workflows

Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the central point of coordination across design, art, engineering, QA, and business teams
  
• Run production meetings, planning sessions, and reviews.
  
• Provide clear status updates, risk assessments, and production reports
  
• Ensure alignment between creative vision and objectives.

Requirements

Must-Have

• Proven experience as a Game Project Manager / Game Producer / Development PM
• Solid understanding of game development pipelines and workflows
• Experience with feature planning and roadmap management
• Strong knowledge of game monetization models and revenue planning
• Proficiency with Notion, Jira, Agile Management for production tracking and documentation management
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with live service / live ops games
  
• Familiarity with agile or scrum methodologies
  
• Understanding of player analytics and KPIs (retention, ARPU, LTV, etc.) for reporting, context and coordination
  
• Experience working with Unreal Engine, Unity, or other game engines
  
• Background in mobile TCG game development
  
• Experience in Animation / 3D
