We are looking for a Game Designer (Systems/Combat) to help develop and balance combat-driven gameplay systems for a mobile F2P games.
This role is focused on combat mechanics, progressions, and balancing. We are looking for someone who enjoys building and iterating on systems, thinks analytically about game balance, and can independently own parts of the game design process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and balance core combat: characters, abilities, in-combat upgrades
Design and balance meta systems and progressions based on combat: e.g. pets, quest systems, dungeons
Create clear and structured game design documentation, write briefs for developers and artists
Configure game parameters via Google Sheets balance tables and Scriptable Objects in Unity
Ability to create automations for configuration and balancing is a huge plus
Align game design with data: funnels, conversions, player behaviour, monetisation constraints
Analyse and reason about gameplay systems before implementation
Work closely with product owner, developers and artists
Participate actively in playtesting and gameplay iteration
WHAT WE EXPECT:
Experience as a Game Designer in mobile f2p games
Experience with battlers, roguelikes, idle RPGs, or strategy games is a strong plus
Strong interest in combat design and gameplay systems
Solid balancing skills and analytical mindset
Ability to structure and document game design clearly
Experience owning features or systems from concept to implementation
Comfortable working in a fast-iteration environment
NICE TO HAVE:
Basic knowledge of SQL / Python or any other scripting language
Experience automating game design workflows
Experience with simulations and game economics flows
Experience with LiveOps of midcore F2P games

This is a full-time, on-site role in our Limassol office — remote and hybrid work are not available.
