Hours: Up to 20 hours per weekPosition SummaryThe Graduate Assistant for Career Readiness & QEP Initiatives supports the implementation, assessment, and promotion of East Texas A&M University’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), Foundation for Your Future. This position works collaboratively with the QEP Leadership Team, the Office of Student Career Preparedness, and campus partners to advance career readiness initiatives that enhance student success and workforce preparation.The Graduate Assistant contributes to communications, student engagement, event coordination, assessment activities, and special projects that support the university’s commitment to developing career-ready graduates. This position provides valuable professional experience in higher education administration, program assessment, marketing, and student success initiatives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation and ongoing support of QEP initiatives and activities.
- Develop and maintain digital communication materials, including social media content, website updates, newsletters, and promotional campaigns.
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of QEP events, workshops, presentations, and student engagement activities.
- Collect, organize, and analyze assessment data to evaluate program effectiveness and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist with survey development, administration, and reporting using platforms such as Qualtrics and other assessment tools.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and data visualizations for stakeholders and university leadership.
- Collaborate with campus partners to promote career readiness initiatives and increase student participation in QEP-related programs.
- Maintain project records, schedules, and documentation to support QEP operations and reporting requirements.
- Provide administrative support, including meeting coordination, communications, and special projects as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and institutional data and adhere to university policies and professional standards.
- Enrollment in a graduate degree program at East Texas A&M University.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct.
- Experience with digital marketing, social media management, or content creation.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar platforms.
- Experience with survey software, assessment processes, or data analysis.
- Knowledge of Qualtrics, data visualization software, or reporting tools.
- Interest in student success, career readiness, higher education assessment, or program evaluation.
