Graduate Assistant Non Teaching
College of Humanities, Social Sciences and Arts

The Graduate Assistant Non-Teaching for the Dean’s office of the College of Humanities, Social Sciences and Arts will assist with administrative tasks that are not teaching or research related. There is no tuition remission with this position.
This is a production/deadline oriented position with the need for developing highly creative concepts and progressive use of marketing trends effective for a unique college audience. This Graduate Assistant will be responsible for a variety of marketing initiatives including advertising, promotions, branding, campus outreach, social media, email marketing, video creation, etc.

Salary: $13.33 hourly
 

Major/Essential Duties of Job:

  • Administer the college’s social media accounts
  • Assist with the development of marketing publications such as posters, fliers, post cards, recruiting tools, etc., both in print and digital media
  • Develop and implement marketing for CHSSA
  • Monitor and manage college webpages
  • Provide photography and video support when needed

Occasional Duties: Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Education: Must be active student at the graduate level for Texas A&M University – Commerce.
  • Knowledge / Skills: Punctual. Good computer skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong knowledge with social media analytics. Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Ability to: Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to handle confidential matters and to be professional.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Attaining education in field of study towards the position being hired for.
