ADI Trinamic Solutions Group is seeking a motivated Product Applications Engineer to strengthen our HW & Applications Team in Hamburg, Germany. The team is developing motor and motion control solutions and evaluating these in industrial, medical, and consumer applications. The Applications Engineer will support assigned IC, system products, and reference designs through the full product lifecycle from proof of concept to early evaluation and pre-release road testing, to product release and customer support.
We are looking for an engineering mindset that can understand the technical challenges our customers are facing to provide fitting solutions. The Applications Engineer works closely with the Business Managers, Product Definers, Product Development, as well as the customers and field teams.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Work closely with product definers, design engineers, business management and customers throughout the product lifecycle
- Conduct pre-release road testing
- Ensuring proper documentation for the data sheets and application notes to assist customers and field teams
- Develop and validate user tools to simplify design-in and support of the motion and motor control products and provide training on it
- Provide technical support to key customers and field applications engineers
Minimum qualifications
- MS in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Automation Technology or a related field
- Solid understanding of analog, digital and mixed signal electronics fundamentals
- Basic PCB design experience with schematic capture, able to create and read schematic designs
- Programming skills in C/C++ and/or Python
- Hands-on experience with common electronics lab equipment
Preferred qualifications
- Attention to detail
- Interest in electrical drive technology, control theory, motion control, or robotics
- Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
