The Role

We are looking for a Furniture & Product Development Manager/Specialist (FF&E) to own the physical product layer of our apartments, translating design direction into scalable, cost-efficient, and operationally robust furniture and equipment solutions.

This role sits between Design, Procurement, and Operations and is responsible for defining and evolving the furniture and product catalog used across Moving Doors apartments.

The objective is not to design individual apartments, but to create repeatable, high-quality product solutions that can be deployed consistently at scale.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduct & Furniture Development
  • Define and maintain the approved furniture and equipment catalog across apartment categories.
  • Select, adapt, or develop furniture products in collaboration with suppliers.
  • Define specifications including materials, finishes, dimensions, durability, and functionality.
  • Ensure products meet hospitality usage requirements and lifecycle expectations.
Supplier Collaboration & Sourcing
  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to identify suitable products and improvements.
  • Participate in product selection, sampling, and evaluation.
  • Optimize products for cost, quality, lead time, and scalability.
Standardization & Catalog Management
  • Reduce SKU complexity and introduce structured furnishing packages.
  • Maintain product documentation and specifications.
  • Ensure alignment between product catalog, procurement, and warehouse inventory.
Operational Optimization
  • Work with Operations teams to collect feedback on product performance.
  • Monitor replacement rates and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Improve installation efficiency and reduce furnishing complexity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Design teams to translate concept direction into executable products.
  • Work with Procurement and Logistics to ensure efficient sourcing and stocking.
  • Support Apartment Design teams with clear product guidelines and standards.
  • Ensure invoices and other payment-related documentations’ accurate submission, and follow up with the payment team to ensure timely processing. 

Requirements
  • Background in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.
  • Experience working with furniture suppliers or product manufacturers.
  • Strong understanding of materials, construction methods, and durability requirements.
  • Experience managing product catalogs or standardized product ranges is a strong plus.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance aesthetics, cost, and operational practicality.
  • Experience in hospitality, residential development, or furnishing at scale is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for engagement with potential suppliers and key partners.
