Manage daily liquidity and funding for the banks nostro accounts, optimizing funding gaps, interest rate risk and yield using FX swaps, IRS and futures. Execute repo, money market and SSA bond trades, prepare cash flow positions and liquidity projections, contribute SORA rates, handle FTP queries and settlement issues, produce market updates, and maintain counterparty relationships.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily liquidity management, ensuring adequate balances in the Bank’s Nostro accounts to meet all funding and settlement obligations.
- Monitor and manage funding gap positions to optimise liquidity utilisation and revenue generation.
- Manage interest rate risk using instruments such as FX swaps, interest rate swaps, and futures to optimise portfolio P&L.
- Monitor market developments (rates, spreads, FX basis) and adjust positioning accordingly.
- Identify opportunities to enhance yield through relative value, duration positioning and funding arbitrage within desk limits.
- Execute transactions across, Sovereign, supranational, and agency bonds (SSAs), Repo and Money Markets.
- Prepare the Bank’s daily cash flow positions.
- Produce liquidity projection reports to support regulatory and internal risk compliance requirements.
- Perform SORA rate contributions in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Address and respond to queries related to Foreign Currency (FCY) Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP).
- Investigate and resolve settlement-related issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and provide weekly updates on currency and interest rate movements for Treasury briefings.
- Maintain and strengthen banking relationships with internal teams and external counterparties.
- Undertake additional tasks and assignments as directed by Management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or equivalent
- Min 2 years of trading experience in Treasury or any Financial institution – seniority of role will commensurate with years of experience.
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Knowledge of Python and/or Excel VBA is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self‑motivated, resourceful and proactive team player with high integrity and a positive working attitude.
Skills Required
