About the Role:

CPG Client is seeking an experienced Functional Procurement Architect with a deep understanding of procurement processes within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and manufacturing industries. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in SAP S/4HANA and ECC P2P, with a proven track record of delivering procurement solutions that drive business value in a fast-paced, global environment. As a Functional Procurement Architect, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing procurement solutions that align with client’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Implementation:
    • Design and execute high-quality procurement solutions, processes, and strategies across global functions and teams.
    • Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, and ECC P2P solutions, ensuring alignment with the unique needs of the CPG manufacturing industry.
    • Customize and optimize procurement modules, including Material Master, Vendor Master, Info-records, Long-term Agreements, Pricing Procedures, Release Strategies, and Organizational Structures, with a focus on CPG-specific requirements.
  • Client Engagement:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within, acting as a trusted advisor for procurement and supply chain needs.
    • Lead and participate in the development of procurement strategies and proposal pricing that support business objectives.
  • Technical Expertise & Integration:
    • Provide in-depth functional and technical expertise in SAP P2P, with integration knowledge across CPG-relevant modules such as PP (Production Planning), WM (Warehouse Management), and QM (Quality Management).
    • Leverage experience with CPG-specific systems and tools, including Ortec Load Building, TMS (Transportation Management Systems), and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), to enhance procurement processes.
    • Utilize technical competencies in SAP ALE/IDOC, Mercury, eCatt, and LSMW to ensure seamless integration and data flow across global systems.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of consultants, fostering collaboration between onsite and offshore teams to deliver successful procurement projects within the CPG sector.
    • Conduct training sessions and presentations for teams to ensure effective knowledge transfer and solution adoption.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee the full lifecycle of procurement projects, from requirement gathering and gap analysis to design, development, testing, and post-go-live support, with a focus on the manufacturing industry’s specific needs.
    • Ensure that all implementations and enhancements meet expectations, are delivered on time, and adhere to best practices in procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Monitor and optimize procurement processes to drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with sustainability and supply chain goals.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in SAP technology and CPG-specific tools to continuously enhance procurement solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of domain experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a strong focus on the CPG and manufacturing industries.
  • 10+ years of experience in SAP S/4HANA, ECC P2P  and non-SAP consulting, including significant international project experience within the CPG sector.
  • Proven experience with end-to-end SAP R/3 implementations, production support, and rollout projects in a CPG context.
  • Expertise in SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, and ECC P2P/SRM, with strong customization and functional competencies tailored to CPG manufacturing.
  • Solid understanding of SAP P2P interfaces and integration with other CPG-relevant SAP modules (e.g., PP, WM, QM).
  • Technical proficiency in SAP ALE/IDOC, Mercury, eCatt, and LSMW, with experience in CPG-specific tools such as TMS, Ortec Load Building, and WMS.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing global offshore and onsite teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CPG-specific systems, tools, and processes.
  • Previous experience working with global CPG brands, preferably in a manufacturing context.
