The Senior Functional Analyst provides expert-level analysis and guidance in defining functional and cross-functional requirements for the Federal Enterprise Application Management System (FEAMS) program. This role is critical in ensuring user needs are accurately captured, translated into system requirements, and aligned with program objectives. The Senior Functional Analyst supports the planning and execution of functional tasks throughout the software development lifecycle and provides daily supervision and mentorship to junior analysts.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document user needs to develop functional and cross-functional requirements for FEAMS modules and capabilities.
- Perform functional allocation to determine task requirements, dependencies, and interrelationships.
- Collaborate with program managers, developers, and subject matter experts to ensure requirements are technically feasible and aligned with system architecture.
- Lead requirements validation sessions, user acceptance testing, and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide daily direction and oversight to supporting analysts and coordinate task execution.
- Develop traceability matrices and maintain comprehensive documentation for compliance with DoD and DLA standards.
- Contribute to risk assessments and mitigation planning for functional areas.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of functional analysis experience supporting enterprise IT programs, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Certifications (Preferred): CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar business analysis certifications.
- Clearance: Must hold an IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive (Tier 3) security clearance at proposal submission.
