Functional Analyst IV

 

The Functional Analyst IV provides strategic logistics planning, supply-chain analysis, process-reengineering, change-management, and executive communications support to the government customer. This key position develops strategic-level recommendations to improve Marine Corps logistics processes, policies, performance management, and supply-chain operations.

 

A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents.  You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.


 

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Functional Analyst IV: ** Although this is not yet an approved position, we are accepting applications for this future and anticipated need.  The applicable salary range will be posted promptly upon award of the contract and once funding for the position has been determined.  No offer will be extended prior to posting the applicable salary range. 

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

 

Functional Analyst IV Responsibilities Include: 

  • Analyze supply-chain processes and architecture and recommend strategic-level courses of action for improvement.
  • Provide organizational change-management support to the government customer.
  • Apply laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to logistics planning and program execution and sustainment.
  • Develop recommendations for changes to Marine Corps policy.
  • Develop executive-level briefings, documents, reports, and communications related to Strategic Logistics Services.
  • Facilitate meetings and conferences supporting strategic initiatives and improvement efforts.
  • Prepare trip reports for government-directed conference or meeting attendance.
  • Apply detailed knowledge of Logistics Commands frameworks and planning concepts in:
    • Strategic planning.
    • Metrics management.
    • Demand forecasting.
    • Allowance setting.
    • Backorder management.
    • Global Combat Support System–Marine Corps (GCSS-MC) functionality and integration.
  • Perform other duties typical of or related to the Functional Analyst role.

 

Functional Analyst IV Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: 

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics Management, Statistics, or another relevant field.
  • Five to six years of experience supporting military wholesale and retail logistics activities involving Reparable and Consumable support.
  • Five to six years of experience managing Ground Equipment Secondary Items.
  • Five to six years of experience leading strategic process-reengineering and process-development efforts.
  • Five to six years of experience using performance-management frameworks to evaluate the effectiveness of products and services.
  • Five to six years of experience with supply-chain business processes and architecture.
  • Five to six years of experience developing training curricula and materials and delivering classroom instruction to support implementation of reengineered processes.
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify significant factors, gather relevant data, and recognize and apply solutions.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute complex tasks successfully.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with personnel at various organizational levels and ranks.
  • Knowledge of administrative processes and documentation requirements supporting logistics program execution and sustainment.
