Fullstack developer

We're seeking a curious and resourceful Full-Stack Developer to join our team at the Arteria AI Café. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the wider Café team to design and develop cutting-edge AI applications powered by Generative AI and Agentic systems. The interdisciplinary Café team brings together scientists, designers and engineers to apply the best AI technology to the world of document infrastructure. Together the team pushes the boundaries of how to apply AI to solve real problems, taking an experimental and iterative approach. The work of the Café feeds directly into Arteria’s products and is built around solving the needs of our customers.

As a Fullstack AI Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust and scalable AI-powered web applications. You will work closely with our research scientists and MLOps engineers to give a face to the innovative AI capabilities developed in house by building user-friendly and efficient applications. This role requires a strong understanding of both frontend and backend development, as well as a passion for AI. The role sits in the Arteria Café, our AI research lab where you will be surrounded by an interdisciplinary team to push boundaries, experiment and innovate.

· Develop and maintain fullstack web applications that integrate AI models and services.

· Use RESTful APIs implemented by MLOps and microservices for data exchange and app deployment.

· Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks.

· Optimize application performance and ensure scalability and reliability.

· Collaborate with the Café scientists and engineers to integrate AI models and agents into applications.

· Implement data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and storage.

· Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.

· Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.

· Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and web development.

· Deploy and maintain applications on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

· Proven experience as a Fullstack Developer, with a strong portfolio of web applications.

· Proficiency in Python

· Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g., React or FastHTML) and state management (i.e. Redux)

· Familiarity with Typescript.

· Strong understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture.

· Experience with database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL)

· Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

· Expertise in FastAPI or Django

· Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

· Performance optimization and component-driven development (modularity)

· Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and experience integrating AI models into applications is highly desirable.

· Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
