About the Role
We're hiring a Full-Stack Team Lead for our product engineering group. Two things make this a good time to join:
First, we have a lot of new product to build. You'll work on interfaces over 360° walkthroughs, drone imagery, 2D plans, 3D models, and large data sets. There’s plenty of greenfield work on our roadmap alongside an established product.
Second, we're actively reshaping our engineering workflow around AI coding tools. We want this role to help lead that - not just adopt the tools, but shape how the team uses them, what we build with them, and what good looks like 6-12 months from now.
What You'll Do
- Lead, hire and grow a team of full-stack engineers.
- Stay hands-on across the stack: Python, Django and Postgres on the backend, React and TypeScript on the frontend.
- Own the backend side of your team’s work: data modeling, API design, background processing, performance and reliability as the product and data grow.
- Partner with Product and Design from early ideas to shipped features. Bring the engineering perspective on trade-offs, and help find the best way to get value to users.
- Set how your team works with coding agents day to day.
Requirements
- 6+ years building software, with substantial production backend experience (Python/Django or similar).
- Experience managing a full-stack team of where you were involved in the backend work yourself: design, code reviews and hands-on development.
- Product mindset. You care about users and outcomes, not just technology, and you’ve owned features from idea to production together with Product.
- Comfortable shipping frontend code in React and TypeScript.
- Daily, hands-on use of AI coding agents with real opinions on what works and what doesn’t.
- A builder. You build software because you enjoy it, at work and in your free time. Side projects, open source and tools you made for yourself all count, and we’d love to hear about them.
- Pragmatic, with strong technical judgment and clear communication.
Nice to Have
- Production experience with Python and Django.
- Postgres/MySQL at non-trivial scale.
- Experience building on top of AI tooling - custom commands, MCP servers, agent workflows, internal LLM tooling.
- Previous startup experience.
