Our client is a fast-growing software company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Work across the whole stack to design and own core backend systems and product features, mainly in Python. You will learn the codebase and the customer base, speak with users directly, and pick the most valuable problems to solve, working closely with technical leadership.
What you'll do
- Learn the codebase, the business and the customers so you can quickly identify high-value problems.
- Move between infrastructure, backend and front-end work as priorities shift.
- Speak directly with customers to understand their pain points and turn those insights into product improvements.
- Design and own core backend services that handle large volumes of fragmented data, mainly in Python.
- Work closely with the CTO and a small engineering team to shape the architecture as the platform scales.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of experience writing production code across the full stack, from infrastructure to user interface.
- Deep experience with Python, or strong proficiency in another language and the ability to ramp up quickly.
- A track record of shipping backend systems that move and process data across multiple services.
- Background at a leading AI research lab, a major technology company or a growth-stage startup.
- Curiosity and self-direction: you find valuable problems and solve them without waiting for instructions.
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach with engineers, customers and the wider team.
- Technically strong candidates from alternative degrees or unconventional backgrounds, such as math, physics or electrical engineering, are welcome.
- Ability to work on-site 5 days a week.
Bonus points
- Domain background in procurement, supply chain, or technology companies serving manufacturing and industrial customers.
- Experience as a founder or founding engineer.

- Base salary: USD 200,000 to 350,000 per year
