Full Stack Software Engineer

Role Summary

Build the core TradeEngage platform as a full-stack engineer on an AI-native team. You'll own features end to end across React/TypeScript, Python/FastAPI, and PostgreSQL: job referrals, multi-party payments, field service integrations, and the web, mobile, and Chrome extension experiences technicians use in the field. Target: 4+ years shipping production software, strong in TypeScript and async Python, product-minded, and fluent with AI coding tools.

Role Overview

You'll be a core member of the product engineering team, owning major features and systems from spec to production. Every feature touches multiple systems. One referral creates a job, notifies two companies, syncs with a field service platform, and pays a technician.

What You'll Do

• Own major features from spec to production across the frontend, API, and data layer
• Build the referral workflow across web, mobile, and our Chrome extension
• Build payment flows on Stripe Connect: technician payouts, company billing, and referral fee distribution
• Build and harden integrations with field service platforms and AI voice agents that each have different data models, APIs, and reliability
• Build agentic AI systems that route and match jobs in real time
• Build new products from the ground up on our existing infrastructure
• Instrument what you ship and use the data to decide what to fix next
• Weigh in on product decisions with the founders and product team before a spec is final

• React and TypeScript on the frontend, deployed on Vercel
• Python and FastAPI (async) on the backend
• PostgreSQL (Aurora)
• AWS (CloudFormation) with GitHub Actions CI/CD
• Stripe Connect for payments
• AI-native development with Claude Code, Cursor, and similar tools

Qualifications

Required

• 4+ years shipping production software, with strong TypeScript/React and Python
• AI-native. You use Claude Code, Cursor, and similar tools in almost everything you do, and you see automation as leverage
• Strong SQL and data modeling in PostgreSQL
• Owned features end to end in production across the frontend, API, and data layer
• Product-minded. You care about why a feature exists and how users use it, and you participate in product decisions
• Excellent communicator. You can explain a technical tradeoff to a non-technical stakeholder and write a clear handoff
• Founder mentality. You've started a company, been on a founding team, or shipped a side project real people used

Preferred

• Experience with field service platforms (ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, JobNimbus, etc.)
• Experience with AI voice agents
• Payments experience, especially Stripe Connect
• Agentic workflows, matching algorithms, or multi-sided marketplace experience
• Customer engagement tools (Customer.io, PostHog, or similar)
• Mobile web experiences for field users

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $125,000-$200,000 base, plus bonus
• Equity: Total compensation for this role may also include an early-stage equity package
• Location: Strong preference for Miami, FL. Open to remote (US)
