Our products enable electronics everywhere and in things you experience every day – from health care, smart homes and connected cars to drones, smart phones and more. Our passion to create a better and more sustainable world by making electronics more affordable through semiconductors drives us to make our technology smaller, more efficient, more reliable and more affordable.
About the Job
The Full Stack Software Engineer will design, develop, and deploy the TI's unified web-based dashboard that gives shopfloor team a single pane of glass into real-time equipment status, downtime management, preventive maintenance scheduling, OEE reporting, and AMHS automation visibility across all Assembly, Test, Bump & Probe (ATBP) manufacturing sites worldwide.
This role sits inside the Smart Manufacturing & Automation (SMA) team and requires close collaboration with manufacturing, production engineering, QA, IT, and peer platform owners (AI Agents, Command Center, AMHS) to build deeply integrated, production-grade factory software.
Responsibilities include:
- Design and develop full-stack web application platform, covering Realtime Machine Status, Downtime ticketing, PM scheduling, OEE dashboards, and reporting modules.
- Integrate with manufacturing data sources event streams via SECS/GEM and factory automation databases.
- Build and maintain real-time data pipelines using Kafka for alarm, process-state, and equipment event ingestion, ensuring sub-second UI refresh for production floor visibility.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs consumed by mobile applications, smart devices, dashboard, and integration touchpoints with AI Agents and Command Center.
- Implement the alarm-state logic layer that filters, validates, and blocks false alarms from polluting KPI counts during troubleshooting, repair, EE/PE recipe creation, and SWR activities.
- Build the Kafka signal state-machine mapping (RUN / IDLE / ALARM / OFFLINE sub-states) used by CI, ADA, and Command Center as their shared contract for machine state reasoning.
- Lead UI/UX design improvements based on operator and technician feedback, maintaining high-quality user experience for on-floor and mobile users.
- Drive worldwide fan-out of CI from TIM pilot to TIM, TIEM, CDAT, TIPI, TICL, TITL, and TMX following the established site-by-site RTP schedule.
- Participate in ITR (IT Readiness Review) and CCB (Change Control Board) processes required for deploying production systems across TI manufacturing sites.
- Write comprehensive technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for manufacturing floor personnel.
- Monitor system performance in production, triage incidents, and deliver continuous improvements to stability, latency, and data accuracy.
- Collaborate with the SMA AI DevOps team on CI/CD pipeline, containerized deployments (Docker/K8s), and infrastructure provisioning.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in full-stack web development — JavaScript/TypeScript frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular) and Python or Node.js backend services.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) and real-time data handling.
- Hands-on experience with REST API design and development.
- Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker) and Linux environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- 3–5 years of relevant software engineering experience (Early Career EXP track) or >5 years of relevant experience (EXP track).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with industrial/manufacturing systems integration — SECS/GEM, OEE frameworks, MES (Manufacturing Execution System), or equipment monitoring platforms.
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms for real-time data ingestion.
- Experience with Kubernetes (K8s), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI), and production deployment on Linux server environments.
- Knowledge of AMHS (Automated Material Handling Systems) and their data interfaces is a strong plus.
- Experience developing mobile-responsive or wearable-facing interfaces (smartwatch/PDA web apps, push notification systems).
- Familiarity with semiconductor back-end manufacturing processes (Wire Bond, Die Attach, Dispense, Assembly, Test, Bump & Probe).
- Experience with software architecture in multi-site, multi-tenant web applications.
- Knowledge of SQL and time-series data analysis; experience with data visualization libraries (Chart.js, D3, or equivalent).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments with version control (Git/Bitbucket) and issue tracking (JIRA, Confluence).
Added Advantage:
- Prior experience building factory floor dashboards, ERP/MES UIs, or industrial IoT platforms.
- Knowledge of alarm management systems, equipment downtime tracking, or OEE/TEEP metrics.
- Engineer your future. We empower our employees to truly own their career and development. Come collaborate with some of the smartest people in the world to shape the future of electronics.
- We're different by design. Diverse backgrounds and perspectives are what push innovation forward and what make TI stronger. We value each and every voice, and look forward to hearing yours. Meet the people of TI

Texas Instruments Compensation & Benefits Highlights
The following summarizes recurring compensation and benefits themes identified from responses generated by popular LLMs to common candidate questions about Texas Instruments and has not been reviewed or approved by Texas Instruments.
-
Strong & Reliable Incentives — Profit sharing and annual bonuses are portrayed as a meaningful, formula-linked upside that can materially lift total earnings in strong years. An employee stock purchase plan with a discount further reinforces recurring, wealth-building incentives.
-
Retirement Support — A 401(k) match is described as a stable core benefit, with some references to additional legacy employer contributions and even pension-like elements for certain cohorts. This framing positions long-term savings support as a notable part of the overall rewards package.
-
Healthcare Strength — Medical coverage is depicted as broadly comprehensive, with preventive care and access to HSA/FSA features cited as value-adds. Company-seeded HSA contributions are repeatedly characterized as an important offset to the plan design for those enrolled.
