Join a small, innovative team where you'll build cloud-first tools that impact our client integration firsthand. Craft high-quality code with feedback from customers, design tools used for calibration and analysis of real-world sensor data, and bring creative, stakeholder-focused solutions to life alongside experienced mentors.
The successful Entry Level Software Engineer pairs Python, Typescript, and React with cloud-first application design, has experience working on RESTful APIs, building on AWS or other cloud systems, and is excited to forward the mission to Accelerate the Net Zero Grid. What will you do?
Core Responsibilities and Key Performance Objectives

  • Build out features across major software components in our team's scope, contributing to both frontend and backend improvements.
  • Design, plan, and execute small-to-medium project initiatives, collaborating with team members to deliver impactful solutions from start to finish.
  • Provide significant contributions to the development and enhancement of a new calibration tool for LineVision's newly deployed sensors.
  • Develop and deploy automation solutions for at least two high-impact workflows, reducing manual processing time by 50%
  • Conduct regular pull request reviews, building proficiency in code review and feedback, with the goal of confidently approving PRs within your first month.
  • Within Three Months:
    • Demonstrate value by completing initial improvements to the codebase
    • Deliver small-to-medium impact features
    • Gaining foundational knowledge of the company's technical landscape
  • Within Six Months:
    • Design and independently implement a small project with medium-to-large stakeholder value
    • Effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues within your domain
    • Contribute to in-depth design discussions for upcoming work
  • Within a Year and Beyond:
    • Lead medium-sized projects independently
    • Provide technical solutions and handle most bug tickets with minimal guidance
    • Show strong stakeholder communication and ownership of deliverables
