What Are You Going to Do?
We are looking to hire a Senior Full Stack Java Developer (Backend-focused with Angular & AWS) to join our nearshoring team and work on innovative eMobility projects for a renowned German sports car manufacturer. You will be part of a cross-functional Agile team responsible for developing, maintaining, and operating business-critical systems that enable electric vehicle charging services across Europe.
In this role, you will work across the full stack — primarily designing and implementing robust backend microservices in Java, while also contributing to the frontend (Angular) layer where needed. Your responsibilities will include building and integrating secure REST APIs, contributing to microservices architecture, developing frontend components, and writing robust unit and integration tests. The role also includes backend development, 3rd level support, and occasional on-call duty.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-performance backend systems using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA.
- Contribute to frontend development using Angular 16+ and Angular Material UI.
- Design, implement, and integrate secure REST APIs (including mTLS-based communication).
- Contribute to and evolve a microservices architecture following Clean Code principles.
- Implement efficient unit, integration, and system tests.
- Work with AWS cloud services in a production environment.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to challenge requirements, clarify technical details, and present results effectively.
- Provide 3rd level support and participate in occasional on-call duty.
What Do We Expect?
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Java Developer, including backend-heavy full stack roles.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and SQL.
- Proven experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
- Solid frontend experience with Angular (16+) or similar JavaScript frameworks.
- AWS Developer Associate Certification (or higher).
- Hands-on AWS project experience (min. 1 year), including:
VPC, Route 53, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, API Gateway. - Experience working in microservices-based architecture.
- Git proficiency.
- Fluent English (C1 preferred, B2 minimum).
At Least One of the Following Skills
- Frontend Development (Angular 16+ & Angular Material UI).
- Reactive Programming & Quarkus.
- Backend Test Automation (integration & system tests).
Nice to Have (Big Advantage)
- CI/CD with GitLab, Terraform, Clean Architecture, OpenTelemetry.
- Kafka, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus.
- eMobility knowledge (OCPP, OCPI, OICP, MSP, CPO, Hubject).
