Full Stack Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, CA (In-Office - Abbot Kinney, Venice)
Salary Range: $110,000 - $160,000 USD Annually + Equity

Solin is the largest marketplace for fitness programs & challenges from creators. We also have a consumer subscription offering (similar to Amazon Prime's subscription) that incorporates platform benefits + AI personalized nutrition.

Our mission is to make the world a healthier place. We're growing fast, and we're looking for a Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer to accelerate our product. We are utilizing AI across both sides of our marketplace in addition to continuing to build out our core challenges offering. AI transformed what is possible with our product roadmap so we need to hire more to attack this opportunity.

What You'll Do:

• Architect, Build, and Maintain: Take ownership of the technical design, development, testing, and maintenance of full-stack features across our web and potentially mobile platforms, using technologies like Remix, React, React Native/Expo and TypeScript.
• Ship Impactful Software: Work in a fast-paced environment, shipping code and features on a weekly basis to deliver value to our creators and consumers.
• Leverage AI: Actively participate in integrating and utilizing LLMs and their APIs to build innovative AI-powered features, particularly for our personalized nutrition offering.
• Collaborate Closely: Work directly with senior leadership (CEO, CTO, Head of Design) and other engineers to understand requirements, contribute to technical decisions, and build cohesive product experiences.
• Drive Technical Excellence: Contribute to building scalable, maintainable systems and advocate for best practices in a dynamic startup setting.

What Your Background Should Look Like (Who You Are)
We're looking for engineers who are excited about building great products, comfortable in a fast-moving environment, and eager to tackle challenges in the health and AI space.

Required Experience & Skills:
Experience Level: 4+ years of professional experience developing and deploying full-stack web applications.

Core Technologies:

• Expertise building user interfaces with React and TailwindCSS.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience build web apps with Remix
• Experience with relational databases

Problem Solving:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to architect solutions for complex challenges.
• Ownership & Collaboration: Strong ownership mindset, capable of driving features from concept to deployment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Education: B.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical work experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience with Remix framework.
• Experience developing mobile applications with React Native and Expo.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Vercel AI SDK) into applications.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup or agile environment.
• Experience with ORMs like Prisma.
• Familiarity with state management libraries like React Query.
