Location: Greater New York / Hybrid

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $150,000-$200,000

About the Company

Sandbox Wealth is an open finance platform for wealth managers. We connect data from custodians, market data providers, and other sources with bank and non-bank lenders to facilitate the free flow of capital across financial institutions and their clients. Our platform is designed for the next generation of private banking—data-rich, highly secure, and built for scale.

About the Role

We are currently searching for an experienced Full-Stack Engineer passionate about building a world-class application that will modernize private banking for clients of non-bank financial institutions, including independent wealth managers and family offices. In partnership with our design and product teams, you will help shape the user experience and system architecture behind a fast, intuitive, and secure platform.

This role will report to the Head of Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle from planning to deployment.
  • Build responsive front-end apps and intuitive user interfaces with Next.js/React.
  • Design and implement scalable back-end APIs and services using Python.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, and security teams to define and deliver features.
  • Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-tested code across the full stack.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Contribute to and improve our CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
  • Implement effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software across environments.
  • Ensure software meets all requirements for performance, scalability, configurability, and security.
  • Contribute to product documentation and technical best practices.

Measures of Success

  • Consistent delivery of high-quality features that meet user needs and business goals.
  • Reduction in bugs and improved test coverage across the codebase.
  • Performance improvements across front-end and back-end services.
  • Positive collaboration feedback from design, security, and product teams.
  • Contribution to documentation, refactoring, and platform reliability.
  • On-time participation in planning, code reviews, and team ceremonies.
  • Demonstrated ownership of features or services from development to deployment and monitoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-stack development, ideally within a FinTech or high-growth startup environment.
  • Proficiency in Python and Next.js/React.
  • Familiarity with both Relational and Non-Relational Databases.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  • Strong understanding of modern development principles, software architecture, and security practices.
  • Experience with testing frameworks and debugging tools.
  • Proficient in version control tools such as Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and drive projects forward.

This is an opportunity to help architect a state-of-the-art platform and partner with an experienced leadership team during a period of rapid development.
