Full Stack Engineer (Ruby, PST/MST)

Private events and catering can significantly increase restaurant and event space revenue, but many venues are stuck using outdated, error-prone manual processes - unlike the sophisticated software employed by large chains. Perfect Venue is leveling the playing field by offering local restaurants and venues an affordable, user-friendly, event management tool to help local them compete with big chains. This is just the start, with plans to expand into a broader marketplace that includes other event services (DJs, florists, etc).

About The Role:

As a member of a small team of product-minded engineers, you will weigh in on all product decisions, play an integral role in building the engineering team, shaping company culture, and spearheading new initiatives. If uncertainty and ambiguity excite you - you'll be right at home. This remote role is available in Pacific or Mountain Time only; must be based on West Coast or Rockies.

What You’ll Do: 

• Be responsible for new feature development and maintenance of existing features

• Participate in the full cycle of product development

• Collaborate with product and support teams to provide best in class user experiences

What We Need: 

• 5+ years of professional Full Stack web engineering experience

• Experience working with Ruby on Rails

• Experience building single-page applications with React

• Proven track record of shipping reliable products

You’ll get bonus points for

• Experience scaling products from thousands of customers to hundreds of thousands of customers

• Having built performant APIs with GraphQL + Ruby on Rails

• Experience in the restaurant industry and/or at a restaurant tech startup

• Experience working on SaaS products for small businesses

• You love to cook (or eat at great restaurants)

• Excellent product judgment and ability to triage technical issues with limited information
