Full Stack Developer

Our client is a fast-growing direct-to-consumer subscription brand focused on reinventing everyday pet care with simplicity, sustainability, and convenience. By delivering eco-friendly, monthly solutions to thousands of households, the company is creating a seamless customer experience while building a fun, relatable, and design-forward brand.

You will join a lean, agile web team that owns the core digital storefront, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering while collaborating closely with Marketing and Design. The storefront is a modern headless Shopify application built with Shopify Hydrogen, React, and TypeScript, integrated directly into their subscription platform and supporting business systems.

This is a hands-on full-stack role with a strong frontend focus. You will develop customer-facing features, maintain server-side logic and API pipelines, investigate technical issues, and thoroughly validate releases. The role provides direct access to senior engineering guidance while giving you the latitude to deliver independently.

• Own development tickets from understanding requirements through implementation and release.

• Build and improve landing pages, product pages, collection pages, shopping flows, and reusable application components.

• Translate designs, screenshots, and business requirements into polished, responsive experiences across mobile and desktop.

• Take ownership of testing and release quality by validating complete customer journeys, checking edge cases and regressions, documenting test results, maintaining automated tests where appropriate, and verifying changes after deployment.

• Develop and maintain server-side routes and integrations with Shopify, subscription services, and other third-party APIs.

• Diagnose and resolve issues involving customer accounts, subscriptions, product selection, cart interactions, and checkout handoff.

• Improve website performance, including page speed, data loading, rendering, and visual stability.

• Help implement A/B tests, website experiments, and related analytics events.

• Submit clear pull requests, participate in code reviews, document relevant changes, and communicate progress and blockers early.

• 3-5+ years of professional software development experience, with some examples of production work you’ve personally delivered.

• Practical React, JavaScript, and TypeScript experience, including the ability to work independently within an existing codebase.

• Strong HTML, CSS, and responsive design fundamentals.

• Experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and verifying their output.

• Ability to investigate problems using browser developer tools, network requests, application logs, and systematic troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with Git, branches, pull requests, and code reviews.

• Ecommerce subscriptions, particularly Loop or a similar platform.

Nice-to-Have

• Shopify Hydrogen, headless storefronts, GraphQL, or Shopify’s Storefront API.

• React Router, Remix, Next.js, or other server-rendered React applications.

• Playwright, Cypress, Vitest, BrowserStack, or comparable testing tools.

• Tailwind CSS, accessibility, Core Web Vitals, or technical SEO.

• PostHog, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or A/B testing.
