Insight Xcite is looking for a Full Stack Developer to support a government client in Northern Virginia. You’ll build secure, scalable, and user-focused applications that directly support mission success. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who’s as comfortable architecting backend services as they are building intuitive, responsive front-end interfaces.
Contingent Upon Award: This position is contingent upon contract award and/or funding approval. Candidates selected may be contacted for pre-screening and qualification prior to award.
Duties and Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deploy full-stack applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and database integrations.
- Develop responsive, accessible front-end interfaces that meet mission requirements.
- Write secure, efficient, and testable code across the full SDLC.
- Participate in agile sprints, stand-ups, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable technical solutions.
- Provide documentation and engineering support across all project phases.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) — non-negotiable. Candidates without this clearance will not be considered.
- 3+ years of professional experience as a full stack developer.
- Proficiency with JavaScript and at least one major front-end framework (React, Angular, Vue).
- Strong experience with Python, Node.js, or Java for backend development.
- Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, etc.).
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and secure application development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 4, Associate’s with 8).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks.
- Prior government or consulting experience.
