Full Stack Developer – AI Assistant Platform

We’re the AI Assistant Platform team at Wix — a cross-guild team of full-stack engineers from Wix’s Frontend and Backend Engineering Guilds. Our mission is to power AI-driven experiences across Wix by building the platform that enables any team to create LLM-based assistants quickly, safely, and at scale. We develop and run products like Astro, the smart assistant in Wix Business Manager that helps users grow their businesses. Drawing on the Frontend Guild’s expertise in micro-frontends, clean code, and cutting-edge tech, and the Backend Guild’s robust microservice tooling that supports Wix’s 500B+ daily requests, we combine strong engineering foundations with a vision to make AI an everyday advantage for millions of Wix users worldwide — all while fostering a culture of ownership, fast iteration, and passion for building products we use ourselves.

Join our AI Assistant Platform team as a Full-Stack Developer. You'll work on a high-impact system that empowers developers across Wix by building internal tools and infrastructure, enabling widespread AI adoption. This is a hands-on role where you’ll collaborate with engineers, product managers, and researchers from both the Frontend and Backend Guilds. In your day-to-day you will:

• Architect and implement end-to-end solutions using React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Design and build internal APIs and tooling that power AI-driven features across multiple products
• Develop and maintain scalable backend services and intuitive, data-rich dashboards for internal users
• Collaborate closely with AI researchers, product managers, and engineers across Frontend and Backend guilds
• Lead technical decisions that shape the platform’s scalability, reliability, and developer experience
• Drive improvements in code quality, performance, and maintainability through reviews and refactoring
• Facilitate integration of AI capabilities into product development by creating reusable infrastructure components

• 4+ years of experience in full-stack, frontend or backend development
• Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experienced in building applications with React and Node.js
• Skilled in designing and consuming REST APIs or gRPC services
• Familiar with SQL or document-based databases (e.g. MySQL)
• Curious about AI and eager to build tools that empower users
• Experience with Kafka or other event-driven systems – an advantage
• Background in building internal tools or developer platforms – an advantage
