We're looking for a Full Time RN to join the healthcare team at Madison County Jail. This is a rotating day shift position working 5:45 AM to 6:30 PM, giving you the opportunity to make a difference every time you walk through the doors.
What You'll Do- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Perform nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions
- Respond to medical needs, including urgent and emergent situations
- Communicate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Educate patients on health and wellness
- Promote a safe and therapeutic environment
- Follow facility, state, and company policies and procedures
- Current RN license in the state of Alabama
- Current CPR certification
- Correctional healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to providing compassionate, professional patient care

Even though this position is primarily a day shift, eligible night and weekend hours worked as part of the rotation may qualify for additional shift differential pay.
