Southern Health Partners is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to provide mental health services at the Calhoun County Jail.
This full-time opportunity is ideal for a mental health professional who wants to use their skills to make a meaningful impact. We welcome qualified professionals from a variety of backgrounds, including counselors, social workers, and psychiatric RNs.
What You'll Do- Provide mental health assessments, evaluations, and ongoing clinical support
- Identify mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide counseling and therapeutic interventions as appropriate
- Monitor patient progress and document services in accordance with professional standards
- Assist with crisis intervention and mental health stabilization
- Collaborate with medical, nursing, and correctional staff to support patient care
- Provide mental health education and support
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care
- Qualified Mental Health Professional credentials appropriate to your discipline
- Qualified candidates may include Licensed Counselors, Social Workers, or Psychiatric RNs
- Mental health or behavioral health experience preferred
- Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Must meet all facility credentialing requirements
