The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented Frontend Software Engineering to join our growing team. This person will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of ML tooling by making significant contributions through their impact. The ideal profile is 70% front-end with the ability to work across the backend 20% of the time.

In this role, you will: 

• Leverage your experience in backend and frontend related technologies to create high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code and APIs 

• Employ your understanding of developer tools to influence the development of user-centric features that address the needs and pain points of data scientists and engineers

• Contribute to architectural decisions and participate in code and design reviews, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance

• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and bias towards making an impact and picking up work that needs to get done

• Work as part of a team and feel most excited when given large and ambiguous problems to solve independently  

About You: 

• 8+ years of professional experience building software as a generalist, working across the frontend, and sone backend exposure

• You have prior experience working at a startup or as part of small team

• You are at your happiest when you are able to jump into new or existing projects and make significant contributions and impact wherever possible

• Prior experience with React and its core principles

• Experience with TypeScript or Javascript 

• Experience with Python, Go, Java or another backend technology

• knowledge of ML concepts and frameworks (eg. TensorFlow, Pytorch, Spark) is highly desired

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent years of experience
