About Numeral

Numeral is a payment technology provider that enables fintechs, payment services providers, and banks to launch new products, expand geographically, comply with payment regulations, and scale their operations with Numeral's cloud-native, API-first payments platform.

We develop and run direct integrations with a network of 30+ partner banks (including BNP Paribas, Barclays, Citi, HSBC, Banking Circle, LHV…) that can all be accessed through a single API, webhooks, and dashboard.

Customers include leading and up-and-coming fintechs like Spendesk, Swile, Alma, WorldFirst, Argentex, Deblock, and 20+ others. We have processed more than 4m payments since our first payment in 2023 and will process more than 10m payments over the next 12 months.

Founded in July 2021, Numeral has been acquired by leading core banking system provider Mambu in December 2024. Mambu’s composable core banking system complements Numeral’s API-first payments platform perfectly. Together, we are poised for hyper-growth, serving both Mambu and non-Mambu customers globally, challenging industry giants like FIS, Bottomline, and Volante, and delivering an even greater impact across our ecosystem.

The role

We are looking for experienced Frontend Software Engineers with a strong background in building high-performance, user-friendly web applications. As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will mainly worked on the dashboard used by our customer to manage their bank accounts, payments, and reconciliations. You will join a product and engineering organisation of 20+ people, with 15 more people joining in 2025.

Responsibilities

• Developing features and improvements for our web application, focusing on delivering seamless user experiences using ReactJS and TypeScript
• Collaborating with Product Managers and Backend Software Engineers to develop responsive, accessible, and user-centric designs
• Ensuring code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices
• Solving architectural challenges to create scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software
• Write high-quality, efficient code
• Contributing to the team’s technical roadmap by identifying areas for improvement and defining solutions to manage technical debt effectively

Your profile

• Strong experience with ReactJS and TypeScript, with a focus on component-driven software development
• Mastery of modern frontend software development tools and practices (e.g., Webpack or Vite, Vitest or Jest, ESLint…)
• Expertise in crafting responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web interfaces
• Strong grasp of data flow patterns (e.g., React Query, Redux, Recoil…) and best practices for handling complex data flows
• Knowledge of modern web development principles, including performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and web security
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with an emphasis on working cross-functionally with product and design teams
• Nice to have: familiarity with backend integration patterns, including RESTful APIs and WebSockets
• Nice to have: understanding of design systems and UI libraries (e.g. Chakra UI, Material-UI, TailwindCSS)
• Nice to have: previous exposure to working with high-volume SaaS platforms
• Nice to have: DevOps or cloud hosting experience, such as deploying frontend applications on AWS or using CI / CD pipelines
• Nice to have: familiarity with analytics tools, user behavior tracking, and A/B testing
• Nice to have: some knowledge of UX principles and the ability to identify and avoid common bad UX / UI design practices
