Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Front End Software Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to:
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and maintain frontend software using JavaScript, React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
- Implement frontend enhancements that improve application usability and user experience.
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional team members in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Participate in pair programming, peer reviews, backlog refinement, and sprint planning.
- Investigate and resolve software defects and troubleshoot production issues.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated frontend testing.
- Support the quality of software releases and related test activities.
- Document software, processes, and technical solutions as appropriate.
- Work effectively as part of a fully remote team; occasional travel may be required one to two times per year.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience (additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- Secret clearance is required
- Proficiency in JavaScript, React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
- Experience using Git and modern version-control workflows.
- Experience developing and maintaining frontend applications.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively through pair programming, peer reviews, and cross-functional teamwork.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience developing automated end-to-end tests using Cypress.
- Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, and unit or integration testing practices.
- Experience with Material UI or similar frontend component libraries.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Platform One, or DAF CLOUDworks.
- Experience with backend technologies such as Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Node.js, or Python.
