As a Frontend Engineer you will collaborate with your teammates - Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists - to build web applications that bring our customers the information they need in the right way, at the right time. Oden Data Applications Engineers help Factory Operations teams ensure they’re meeting their production targets, quickly solve stoppages, and prevent costly and environmentally wasteful scrap. They help our customers’ Engineers investigate the root causes of inefficient production and leverage historical data to optimize their manufacturing processes.

In this role you will:

• Help drive product delivery by implementing new features and prototypes using the best tools for the problems at hand. Most often you’ll build on our prior art: React SAPs and the GraphQL Golang APIs that back them

• Work with the product and customer success teams to understand our users’ problems, and identify solutions

• Technologies We Use

• Frontend language is React

• Different backend languages, including Go, Java, and Python

• Open-source technologies like Postgres, Clickhouse, gRPC, GraphQL, Apache Beam

• Standard infrastructure and build tooling, including Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, GitHub, etc.

• Proficiency with React

• Familiarity with one or more backend-focused programming language, such as Golang, Java, C++, Python, Rust, or similar languages

• Familiarity with data storage and processing systems in cloud environments

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment with engineers and non-technical stakeholders

• AI-forward mindset. You’ve worked with AI systems (training, evaluation, deployment) or built products that leverage AI capabilities, and you understand both the potential and practical considerations of integrating AI into backend systems.

• Tinkering. You embrace data and different technologies and want to see how they can work together.
