Frontend Engineer

Position: Senior React Frontend Developer
Location: 100% Remote in Poland
Type: This can be structured as a B2B contract or as an Employment Contract with full benefits.
Salary:  $120,250 - $146,250 + stock options.

What we’re looking for
We're looking for a frontend engineer (React/TypeScript) who thinks like a full-stack engineer - someone who takes full ownership of the products they build. You'll need to be an  open and dynamic communicator who thrives in remote work environments and knows how to stay connected with your team across distances.

Your work will directly impact employees at major grocery retail chains. You'll collaborate with exceptional engineers who can solve any problem thrown at them—and we expect the same from you.

You'll face challenges that require digging for information across the organization and, critically, validating whether the solution you're building actually makes sense and delivers value to customers. We're not looking for someone who just completes tasks—we need someone who solves customer problems. We want someone who works on products, not tickets. Someone who can balance time invested against value delivered.

Sometimes you'll need to quickly prototype something in production to validate an idea. Other times, you'll build features from scratch iteratively. Our problem space is broad, so frequent context switching is the norm here. We use AI tools not because they're trendy, but because they genuinely accelerate our work.

What you will do

• Build new features that process large datasets and leverage computer vision technology 
• Create customized applications tailored to each client's specific needs
• Develop tools that become integral parts of in-store operations
• Remotely debug customer issues and find smart solutions that actually work 
• Partner with the product team to shape user experience—you'll be the voice of the user 
• Expand test coverage for our critical user flows 
• Refactor existing code to reduce complexity and keep things maintainable 
• Write database queries to find real examples of how features are being used 
• Support our customer success team by helping solve client problems 
• Evaluate incoming requests—assess the effort required vs. potential value delivered
• Present your work to the company and share what you've shipped 
• Be part of the team that ships weekly releases to customers
• Estimate how your changes will impact customers' daily work
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code

What you need to be successful

• 8+ years’ experience with Software / Web Development
• 5+ years’ experience with TypeScript
• 5+ years’ experience with React 
• 1+ years’ experience with Unit and Integration Tests, especially with JEST and React Testing Library
• 4+ years’ experience working in a team environment
• Flexibility in adjusting working hours to meet the needs of the global and time zone-diverse team (urgent tasks or meetings may occur outside of regular CEST working hours)
• Strong work ethic and commitment to completing assigned tasks and projects within established deadlines

Note: Our pay bands are driven by market benchmarks in the target geography for hiring. Our posted ranges typically include multiple job levels. A candidate's level is determined by their performance throughout our talent acquisition process including technical screens, behavior interviews, presentations, work samples, and references. We will communicate transparently with the candidate at final stages regarding how we have leveled them, and what salary range that places them into. Placement within range is equally determined by education, general experience in your profession, specific experience in our domain, and your performance in the talent acquisition process. It is rare to receive an offer at the top of the range for a role.
