dotCMS is a cloud-based Universal CMS that is changing how enterprises do digital. We’re looking for a Website Frontend Engineer (React) to join our dynamic Product team, you'll technically lead the front-end implementation of our headless CMS-powered web experience, bringing together technical development expertise, a strong design eye, and a product-oriented mindset. You’ll bridge Marketing and Product by translating design vision into scalable, high-performance, content-driven interfaces using React and Next.js.


This is a full-time on-site contractor position based in Karachi. The work schedule is from afternoon shift 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM or evening shift 3:00 PM to Midnight local time (UTC+05:00), with a one-hour break. We are currently unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of employment visas.

What you’ll bring to the team: 

  • Convert Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces with strong attention to typography, spacing, and usability.
  • Ensure pages and components follow SEO best practices (structured markup, metadata, site performance).
  • Partner with Marketing and Design to translate creative concepts into technically sound, performant solutions.
  • Contribute to product ideation with a strategic mindset, connecting front-end decisions to business outcomes and content strategy.
  • Develop and maintain reusable, scalable, and performant UI components using React.js and Next.js, aligning with modern front-end architecture patterns.
  • Integrate headless CMS solutions (e.g., dotCMS or similar) with GraphQL and REST APIs to manage and surface content dynamically.
  • Build data-rich dashboards, implement interactive ChatGPT-driven experiences, and embed bot functionality based on specifications.
  • Convert Figma designs into responsive interfaces leveraging Tailwind CSS, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Design solutions with a customer-centric mindset, ensuring features solve real user pain points and deliver measurable value.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: including design, marketing, backend, and product, to refine UI/UX quality and content strategy.
  • Use version control tools (Git) and modern build/deployment systems to support CI/CD workflows.
  • Actively engage in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, product ideation and kickoff, retrospectives, and product demos.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders translating technical concepts into clear business value, and demonstrate delivered features to internal teams.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and team collaboration.
  • Ensure all code and processes comply with established security and data privacy requirements.

  • 3 to 5 years of professional front-end development experience.
  • Expertise in React.js, Next.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and Tailwind CSS
  • Proven track record of: 
    • Integrating headless CMS platforms using GraphQL and RestAPI.
    • Proven design sensibility and UI/UX understanding – you can balance visual polish with scalable architecture.
    • Experience implementing SEO optimizations and web performance improvements that drive measurable outcomes.
    • Ability to bridge marketing design with engineering best practices, ensuring brand consistency while maintaining technical integrity.
    • Hands-on development experience with dashboard UI and bot implementations
    • Strong foundation in front-end performance optimization, accessibility, SEO, and responsive design
    • Ability to work closely with remote teams and communicate design coordination through Figma and PR workflows.
