At its core, Ideon is a technology and data company. The Ideon engineering team plays a central role in building APIs that are transforming the health insurance industry. We're an agile team that seeks to constantly improve our skills and process. We build high quality code through TDD, pair programming, code review, static analysis and documented best practices. We ensure we're building the right thing in collaboration with the Product team through product inceptions, architecture reviews and roadmap prioritization. We're looking for engineers who are excited about working on hard problems and contributing to our shared culture.
We are searching for a skilled front-end Engineer to assist in upgrading Ideon’s customer-facing dashboards. This role is dedicated to enhancing user interfaces and improving the overall user experience. As part of the team, you will leverage your expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and any modern JavaScript framework (such as React, Angular, or Vue.js).
For this role, we are excited to welcome remote candidates from anywhere in the U.S. Ideon, with its headquarters in NYC and a second office in Omaha, NE, is open to embracing talent from across the country. This role reports to the VP of Engineering.
In this role you will:
- Upgrade and enhance the UIs for Ideon, ensuring a seamless and modern user experience.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code in collaboration with the Product team.
- Have a high degree of autonomy and influence on the culture and direction of the technical organization.
- Contribute to improving front-end engineering standards and processes.
- Collaborate with back-end engineers and contribute to the growth of the team.

- Care deeply about front-end development and writing high-quality, scalable code.
- Have 5 years of experience in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and a modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.).
