Front of House Associate

Location: Newport, RI

Position: Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available

Compensation: $18–$30 per hour (including tips)

As a Front of House Associate, you'll be one of the first people our customers interact with when they walk through our doors.

This role goes far beyond operating a register. You'll be responsible for creating a welcoming, consistent, and memorable experience while serving guests, packaging products, maintaining the front of the bakery, and ensuring every customer receives the same exceptional experience from open to close.

• Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming environment
• Provide an exceptional customer experience
• Operate the register and process transactions
• Package and serve buns and other baked goods
• Answer customer questions and provide product recommendations
• Answer phones and assist customers with questions
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of display cases and work areas throughout the day
• Restock beverages, boxes, bags, utensils, napkins, and front-of-house supplies
• Keep all customer-facing areas clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards
• Complete opening and closing responsibilities
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure the bakery is always prepared for service

• Positive, friendly, and professional attitude
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable and punctual
• Comfortable standing and moving throughout an entire shift
• Weekend availability preferred
• Previous customer service, food service, or hospitality experience is a plus but not required
