Position Summary: The Front End Web Designer plays a crucial role in creating engaging and visually appealing websites, landing pages, and digital products as well as implementing those designs through front-end development. This role works closely with our UX, marketing, and product development teams to support all product lines at Leaf Home, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop visually compelling and user-friendly websites for Leaf Home's product lines.
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
- Implement web designs into functional and responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Independently manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Understand web best practices to maximize page speed efficiency, export assets at minimum sizes, and troubleshoot page load errors.
- Work closely with the marketing team to translate branding and marketing requirements into design concepts.
- Collaborate with content creators, designers, and stakeholders to deliver engaging experiences to drive marketing goals.
- Analyze web traffic using A/B testing and web analytics to find areas of growth and opportunity.
- Regularly ideate, implement, and measure results for landing pages to optimize for brand KPIs.
- Support qualitative research efforts such as usability testing.
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
- Continue to grow skillset to include emerging technologies/industry trends, applying those trends to everyday work.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Experience and Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 1+ years of experience in web design and front-end development.
- 1+ years of professional web development experience.
- Must possess a portfolio with design examples.
- Proficiency in CMS management, preferably with WordPress websites.
- Working-level experience with PHP, JavaScript, and HTML programming languages.
- Strong understanding of web design principles and UI/UX best practices.
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
- Proficient in working with page builders such as Unbounce, Elementor, Leadpages, Wix, or similar equivalents.
- Expert in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate design ideas and development concepts clearly.
- Working knowledge of CSS.
- Proficient in cross-browser compatibility, website performance, and delivery.
- Experience in building and maintaining responsive web designs.
- Familiarity and understanding of SEO (search engine optimization).
- Familiarity with digital accessibility best practices.
- Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without "dropping the ball."
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a "roll up your sleeves" and "win every day" mentality.
- Hold oneself accountable and responsible while being self-driven in accomplishing goals.
- Detail-oriented and can focus on the task at hand by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels to communicate with internal and external stakeholders articulately.
- Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work, and solve complex problems.
- Ability to provide timely and empathetic service through all communication channels keeping peer and customer needs first.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Certifications:
- Deep understanding of modern, trending, and high-performing web design.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing and customer journey best practices.
- Experience designing in Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent software.
- Proficiency in using project management software such as Asana, Wrike, Monday.com, etc.

- Normal office environment.
- Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment.
