SET THE COURSE
This position brings Tommy Bahama’s island-lifestyle brand to life online, crafting transformative, intuitive, and inspiring digital experiences that deepen customer engagement and drive B2C eCommerce growth. Partnering closely with Creative, Marketing, and Development, this role ensures every step of the online shopping journey reflects the quality customers expect from the brand, while staying fast, accessible, and reliable.
WHAT YOU’LL BUILD
Product pages that make it easy to fall for the next hero print. Search and navigation that get customers to what they want, fast. Seasonal launches and campaigns that land flawlessly on day one. Checkout flows that stay out of the customer’s way. These are the moments you’ll build, refine, and own.
WHY JOIN US
You’ll work on a small, tight-knit development team where your ideas carry weight and your code ships fast. We build with modern tools — Angular, TypeScript, and AI-assisted development — on a brand with real momentum and a customer base that notices the details. If you’re looking for ownership, craft, and room to grow, this is that kind of team.
BE THE ISLAND GUIDE
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be the person turning creative vision into a shopping experience customers love — from the code that powers a new feature to the polish that makes it feel effortless.
- Develop front‑end features using the Angular framework, TypeScript/NgRx, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, translating creative designs into high‑quality, production‑ready code for a B2C eCommerce platform.
- Integrate and consume REST APIs from the SAP Commerce Cloud layer to support dynamic application functionality.
- Build and maintain integrations with third‑party platforms including Adobe Dynamic Media, Google Maps, Bazaarvoice, Adobe Target, Adobe Experience Manager, Klaviyo, and others.
- Support CMS‑driven site content and develop new CMS components, templates, and features.
- Deliver a polished, pixel-perfect experience across every browser, platform, and viewport our customers use.
- Develop and maintain responsive, mobile‑first website experiences optimized for phones, tablets, and desktops.
- Implement SEO‑focused development practices for eCommerce, including SSR, structured data, canonical URLs, sitemaps, and an understanding of AEO/GEO considerations.
- Execute time‑sensitive website updates such as promotional events, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
- Collaborate with non‑technical stakeholders to diagnose issues, gather requirements, and propose effective technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve usability, performance, and functional issues while ensuring code quality and performance best practices.
- Team up with Creative to bring bold designs to life — building, implementing, and testing pages, interactive components, and UI enhancements customers will actually notice.
- Bring new ideas to the table — experiment with emerging web technologies and practices, and help shape how the team builds.
- Build and test UI components for WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance, including semantic HTML, ARIA attributes, and screen reader compatibility.
- Write and maintain automated unit and end-to-end tests (e.g., Jasmine/Karma, Cypress) to ensure code quality and prevent regressions.
- Implement and maintain analytics and tag management integrations (e.g., Adobe Analytics/GA4, Adobe Launch/Google Tag Manager) to support site tracking and reporting.
- Manage workload independently, prioritizing tasks based on direction from development leadership and project management.
